This direct-drive industrial winch is specifically designed for testing the breaking strength of wind turbine blades. Each winch is equipped with a 7.5 kW variable frequency motor and a turbine gearbox with a gear ratio of 561:1. The testing setup uses a 22mm diameter wire rope, with a length of 65 meters. The electric control system includes a variable frequency drive (VFD) control cabinet and can also be operated with an adjustable-speed remote control.
